There’s no question the result of the 2016 referendum that put the United Kingdom on the path of exiting the European Union took many people by surprise. Three years later, it would seem there has been no advance on the way through the tangled maze that has inflicted the post-referendum world. This session will untangle the issues and examine the hopefully clearer landscape. The Brexiteers and Remainers seem to have very little common ground, but many on both sides agree that the decision in 2016 was the will of the people, but there are also those who think the people didn’t have enough information, and, were there another referendum, a different result may be the outcome. Whatever happens, what will all this mean, not only for the UK, but for Australia and New Zealand?
