Sherelle Jacobs is a lead columnist for the UK’s Daily Telegraph newspaper covering a wide range of politics and economic affairs, both domestic and global in scope. Her interests include the West’s intellectual, economic and technological stagnation and the far-reaching implications of challenges to the global “liberal order”. She is a regular commentator on television and radio shows for the BBC and other outlets. She previously worked in Bonn for the German outlet Deutsche Welle covering international news, and in Tunisia as a foreign correspondent specialised in North African politics, terrorism and global security. She is currently working on her first book, which explores themes of Western decline and possibilities for its rejuvenation. She has a First Class history degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. In her spare time she reads philosophy and does ballet.
