Robert Skeffington is Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting. In that position, he plays a leadership role for this multi-disciplinary global consulting firm in Australia. Robert acts as a trusted advisor to a number of Australia’s business and government leaders, combining his background in strategy and stakeholder engagement. In his client work he specialises in advising companies on how to use communications to take stakeholders with them in the implementation of their corporate objectives.

He started his career in Canberra working as a political reporter covering economic policy. He also worked as a lobbyist and political advisor.

He then joined leading global management consulting firm, McKinsey & Company, working there for almost a decade.  He also he spent two years in a finance role as Head of Strategy at an ASX 100 company leading their strategic initiatives, including corporate restructuring, asset sales and transformation.

In 2015, Robert joined FTI Consulting in Sydney, where he was charged with growing the business and establishing the firm in the Australian market. He is on the Board of the Centre for Independent Studies and continues to write and speak on economic reform issues.
