Paul Kelly is Editor-at-Large on The Australian and a former Editor-in-Chief of that paper. He writes on Australian politics, public policy, history and international relations and is a regular television commentator. Paul has covered every prime minister from Gough Whitlam to Anthony Albanese. He has written 12 books on Australian politics and policy including ‘The End of Certainty’ on the
Hawke/Keating reform age, ‘The March of Patriots’ offering a re-interpretation of John Howard and Paul Keating as prime ministers and ‘Triumph and Demise’ on the Rudd-Gillard Labor government. In 2001 he presented the five part television documentary for the ABC ‘100 Years – The Australian Story’ and wrote a book under the same title. Paul has been a Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, a visiting professor at Kings’ College London and a visiting fellow at the Lowy Institute. He has been a long serving delegate at meetings of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue. Paul has a doctorate from the University of Melbourne. He is a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and a Fellow at the Australian Institute of International Affairs. His most recent book ‘Morrison’s Mission” is an account of Scott Morrison’s foreign policy.
