Elisabeth Taylor, is a graduate of Sydney University and completed her PhD in Medieval History at Cambridge University, where she studied as a Commonwealth Scholar. Formerly Director of Research for the Australian Christian Lobby and Senior Research and Fellow at the Lachlan Macquarie Institute, Elisabeth now works as an independent researcher and writer focusing particularly on the modern political debates concerning sexuality and gender, including the history of sexual rights activism, Queer Theory, the transgender movement, feminism, comprehensive sexuality education and pornography. In April, she authored a research article for CIS on the inadequacy of Australia’s protections for freedom of religion.
