Dr Bruniges AM is a former Secretary of the Australian Department of Education. Dr Bruniges’ qualifications include a PhD in Educational Measurement, a Masters in Education, and a Diploma in Teaching.  She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Churchill Fellow, a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators, a Fellow of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders, a recipient of the Australian College of Educators College medal, and since 2012 a member of the Order of Australia. Dr Bruniges is currently the elected Chair of the (OECD) Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) Governing Board, Chair of the Australian Institute of Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL), and a recipient of a Paul Ramsay Fellowship based at the University of Technology, Sydney.
