Founder & Director, Israel Law & Liberty Forum
Aylana Meisel-Diament is the founding chair and now executive director of the Israel Law & Liberty Forum, an educational initiative which seeks to promote classical liberal and conservative ideas within Israel’s influential legal profession. Formerly deputy director of the Herut Center (then known as the Tikvah Fund Israel), she has worked for over 15 years to help cultivate American and Israeli conservative leadership within the Jewish community. She has held a variety of senior positions developing the mission, strategy, and political thought educational projects for both the Tikvah Fund and the Herut Center.
Aylana obtained her JD from Georgetown University and her BA in Jewish Studies from Queens College. She is the creator and host of the JNS podcast “Basic Law,” co-founder of the Jewish Coalition for Religious Liberty, and serves on the advisory board of the Tikvah Fund Legal Fellowship. Her work has previously appeared in publications including Mosaic Magazine, the Jerusalem Post, and Commentary Magazine. She lives with her husband, daughter, and faithful hound in Israel’s eternal capital, Jerusalem.
